Four men were playing golf one Saturday. At the third hole, the following conversation took place:
First Man: “Guys, you have no idea what I had to do just to get out and play today. I had to promise my wife that I’d paint every room in the house next week.”
Second Man: “That’s nothing. I had to promise my wife I’d build a brand-new deck for our swimming pool.”
Third Man: “You guys are lucky! I had to promise my wife I’d remodel the entire kitchen.”
They kept playing until they noticed the fourth man had been quiet the whole time.
So they asked him, “You haven’t said anything. What did you have to do to play golf this weekend?”
Fourth Man: “I’d rather not talk about it… Let’s just say the foundation for a new house is being poured on Tuesday.”
