Bob had finally made it to the last round of the $64,000 Question. The night before the big moment, he told the emcee that he wanted a question about American History.
The big night arrived. Bob stepped onto the stage in front of a live studio and TV audience. He had become the talk of the week – the best contestant the show had ever seen. The emcee approached the microphone.
“Bob, you’ve chosen American History for your final question. If you answer correctly, you’ll walk away $64,000 richer. Are you ready?”
Bob nodded confidently as the crowd went wild. He hadn’t missed a single question all week.
“Bob, your American History question is a two-part question. You may answer either part first. As usual, the second part is easier. Which one would you like to answer first?”
Bob suddenly grew nervous. His mind went blank. American History was his best subject but he decided to play it safe.
“I’ll try the second part first.”
The emcee nodded. “Alright, Bob. I’ll ask the second half first, then the first half.”
The audience fell silent in anticipation…
“Bob, here is your question:
And in what year did it happen?”
