Deep Web is one of those documentaries that quietly pulls you in and then leaves you thinking long after it ends. It explores the rise and fall of Silk Road through the lens of Ross Ulbricht, raising uncomfortable questions about privacy, government power, and the limits of the internet. If you’ve ever wondered how deep the web really goes, this is a compelling place to start.
This is the kind of documentary I’d gladly revisit, especially when I’m in the mood for something thought-provoking. It doesn’t try to spoon-feed conclusions, which might frustrate some viewers, but that’s exactly what makes it stick. It also gained attention for presenting a perspective that challenges mainstream narratives about the case.
