Poki is a website (and platform) that hosts free browser-based games. It is based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The nice thing about Poki (insert Pinoy pun) is that you can play instantly. The games can be played on desktop, laptop, and mobile (through a browser). There are more than 1,000 titles available to choose from. This site is great for discovering indie, casual, or experimental games. Just be a little patient with advertisements while playing because that’s how the games earn money. And by the way, some of the games are not for kids.
2. CrazyGames
CrazyGames is a browser-games platform founded in Belgium in 2014 by brothers Raf and Tomas Mertens. It is multilingual/localized and available in many languages (24 according to my source). The games are free to play, but they also use ads (inside the games and on the site itself), and sometimes they offer in-game purchases. They have more than 4,500 games. Not all of the games are for kids, and depending on the speed of your internet connection, some games may load slowly.
3. Kongregate
Kongregate is an online gaming portal and publisher that hosts a very large library of browser games, and they also release games for mobile, PC, and other platforms. It was founded in 2006 by siblings Jim and Emily Greer. They have a strong community focus: user profiles, achievements, badges, high-score leaderboards, chat, forums, and more. According to rumors, there are more than 128,000 games on this site.
4. itch.io
itch.io is a digital marketplace/platform launched in March 2013 by Leaf Corcoran. It focuses on indie games and other creative digital content (assets, comics, music, zines, and more). As of 2024, itch.io has more than 1,000,000 products (games and other content). Most of the items there are free. Since they don’t only offer free games, the link I gave above is already filtered for free browser games. I don’t want you to have a hard time finding them.
5. Addicting Games
Addicting Games is an online portal for free casual games. It was founded by Bill Karamouzis and Ira Willey in the early 2000s. They have more than 4,000 classic games, and they often add new titles. Some games have ads, but if you notice, ads are really common on game portals. And like other sites, not all games are for kids.
6. Friv
Friv is also a browser-based free games portal. It started in 2006, and the name “Friv” is trademarked and owned by the company Zyis Limited. Just be careful because there are many fake “Friv”-style sites that imitate their name and host questionable ads or links to unsafe content.
7. SilverGames
SilverGames.com is a website that offers free browser games. It has a high global web rank, meaning many people use this site. The SilverGames domain was registered around 2003.
8. GamePix
GamePix is an Italian-based platform with free browser-based HTML5 and WebGL games on their website. It was founded in 2013. As of August 2025, GamePix is ranked #81,527 globally and #46,121 in the United States.
9. Lagged
Lagged was founded in 2016 by Dominick Bruno. It is a free online gaming platform with more than 5,000 browser-based games.
10. A10
A10 is a free online gaming portal with a wide selection of browser-based games. It was launched in 2008 and relaunched in 2013 under Spil Games.
All of these websites use ads in their games (and some also on the website itself). Some of them also have in-app purchases.
