A Few Notes
I first heard Yano during one of their acoustic sets on the radio station LA 105 back in 1994. I immediately liked their songs.
During my weekly visits to my local music store, I eventually saw that their album was available, so I bought it on cassette tape. Back then, they weren’t mainstream yet, which made it feel like I was in on a secret.
Now, I personally consider the Yano album as one of the best albums ever released in the Philippines. There was something refreshing about their socially aware lyrics mixed with humor. It didn’t sound like anything else on the radio at the time.
