Got My List

I first heard this song back in October 2009 when I watched the movie Dakota Skye. It was my introduction to “Got My List” by onelinedrawing, a stripped-down, more introspective take on the original track “My List” by the hardcore punk band 7Seconds.

At the time, I had no idea it was a cover. It just stuck with me. Simple, raw, and somehow heavier emotionally despite sounding softer.

At its core, “Got My List” is about holding on to personal values and priorities, essentially a mental checklist of what truly matters in life.

The onelinedrawing version strips away the urgency of punk and replaces it with quiet reflection, making the message feel more personal and introspective, like you’re revisiting your own list rather than shouting it out to the world.

onelinedrawing is a project by Jonah Matranga, who is also known for his work with bands like Far and New End Original (an anagram of “onelinedrawing“).
